Dr. Marbury has more then 10 years of experience working in the mental health field. Her experience in the filed includes research, private practice, community service, publication, professional presentation nationally and internationally, academic instruction, and mentoring. She is very active as a former governing council member of the American Counseling Association and representative of the Association for Multicultural Counseling and Development. She also served on the mental health and school counseling advisory board at Bowling Green State University. Dr. Marbury is a state of Ohio supervising licensed professional clinical counselor. Dr. Marbury is currently an established practitioner with her own private practice in University Heights, Ohio. She also developed a nonprofit community mental health subsidiary within the private practice.
Through her private practice Dr. Marbury provides diagnostic assessments of mental and emotional disorders, assessment and testing, individual counseling, group counseling, and art as therapy. She tailors her counseling services to meet the needs of racial and ethnic minority populations. Dr. Marbury’s practice has started a women’s health initiative that incorporates a holistic approach to mental health and wellness. The populations served by Dr. Marbury include children, adolescents and adults up to age 65. The diagnoses she treats range from those in the DSM-IV TR to regular daily life problems such as communication and adjustments etc…
